The Wittenburg Door has a hilarious piece this month entitled “Next Wave: The Submergent Church.”

Money quote: “If there’s one thing I’ve learned from [Brian] McClaren (sic), it’s that you don’t have to meet your criticisms head on. I mean, in his books if someone asks a hard question he just distracts them with some sort of plot device. Whoa! Was that a clown fish?”

The good folks at Submergent have responded: “Maybe we should have our two groups form an alliance. I mean, if they are willing to accept nonviolence, we can all wear wetsuits. Deal?”
