By Tony Jones, re-posted from the Emergent/C email newsletter:

Last week, I encouraged those of you who completed our recent survey to donate in order to strengthen Emergent Village financially. This week, I’m asking those of you who have been affected, supported, and encouraged by EV. But better than I can say it, I’d like to quote a couple of comments that came into the EV blog last week, and that Steve posted on the blog:

In order to keep stories like this coming in, I’m asking that you make a mid-year gift to Emergent Village today.

Like a lot of non-profit organizations, this economy has meant lean times. Add to that the usual dip in giving in the summer, and that makes it extra lean.

We’ve done everything we can to cut expenses for now, but even so, we need your financial help.

If every one of you who have been encouraged by Emergent Village donated something today, we’d be in the clear for months to come. Please consider it.

There are several ways to contribute. You can contribute securely through our registration site.

You can also donate via PayPal:

Finally, you can also contribute using the Emergent Village cause on Facebook.

I really hope you’ll consider dropping a few bucks in the Emergent Village plate this summer.

Thanks,

Tony
