No Sustainability (Is Possible) Without Justice
Bob Scott, director of Trinity Institute in New York City, has written to share this invitation:
- “Every person, regardless of social or economic status, can and must be a partner in healing our planet. Explore the theology and practice of living abundantly while striving for justice and sustainability by joining local church leaders (lay and ordained), prominent theologians, and grassroots activists for Radical Abundance: A Theology of Sustainability, January 21-23, 2009.
“Trinity Institute’s 39th National Theological Conference will be held in New York City and simultaneously via webcast at partner sites around the United States and internationally. Responding to keynote speakers—environmental justice advocate Majora Carter (MacArthur Genius Fellow), ecological theologian Timothy Gorringe (A Theology of the Built Environment), bestselling author David C. Korten (The Great Turning), and liberation theologian Nestor Miguez—reflection groups at each site will focus on local contexts and community building.
“For more information about attending in New York or at a partner site, or to apply to become a partner site, go to www.TrinityWallStreet.org/institute or call 1-800-457-0224.”
