Cornerstone Festival's Strong Seminar Line-up

Posted Apr 23, 07:32 PM | 5 comments | by Steve Knight | Link

I used to go to Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Illinois, every summer for the great music. (Some of the old school stuff from my era is even still alive and kicking: The 77s, Charlie Peacock, The Lost Dogs, Over The Rhine, Rez Band, Sixpence None The Richer, etc.)

Later on, it was for the Underground Ministries Roundtable discussions.

Billy Graham even sent me to Cornerstone one year as part of my former job, but that’s another story …

One of Cornerstone Festival’s biggest draws this year (in my older, wiser, and slightly-less-rock’n’roll opinion) is the seminar schedule, featuring:

If you haven’t been to Cornerstone in a while (like me) or if you’ve never been, I’d highly recommend looking into it, June 30-July 5.

Oh, and it’s the 25th anniversary of Cornerstone Festival, so that’s pretty cool too.

All of Emergent’s theological category bending messyness has got nothing on the disorientation I have suffered from juxtaposing Miroslav Volf and contemporary Christian music! The world just got a whole lot wierder.

I was at Cornerstone Festival this year and it was just amazing. I had missed last year but was glad to be back.

Just returned from C-Stone! The seminars were better than you predicted.

The Lost Dogs, 77s, etc. were great. Not so much the screamo stuff.
