Brad Cecil's PowerPoint, Featured in "The New Christians"
Brad Cecil created a PowerPoint presentation in 1999 entitled "Ministry in the Emerging Postmodern World" to explain the postmodern shift. Tony Jones talked about the significance of it in his book The New Christians. It was originally published on the Young Leader Network website (produced by Leadership Network), and it is available once again for those who are interested in this piece of emerging church history:
UPDATE 4/13/2008: Brad Cecil made some changes to the PowerPoint, and when I went to upload the new file to SlideShare the whole thing go deleted! So anyway, the new file is posted here. To any who linked to this already, posted it, etc., if you have any trouble, my apologies.Bookmark this article using Remarkable!

Interesting. I did a few presentations like this between 2000 and 2003 and no one got it – I mean they had no clue how to make it stick with their church or how it was remotely relevant. I got hammered pretty hard at a Princeton Seminary continuing education session because they were unsure why this was relevant.
So I stopped talking about it. And when I say that one of the presentations I did was like this, I mean the content is uncannily similar and I guarantee that he and I have never met or seen each other’s materials before.
Strange.
