Key City Emergent Cohort

  1. well, we haven't met in a while
This post is long overdue. Essentially, the cohort thing just ain't happening. We find ourselves in Abilene, TX, one of Wikipedia's "Buckles of the Bible Belt." That's right my friends--an awful place to do seminary, especially for the forward thinking/apostolically minded/post-denominational folks. Life in Abilene makes one think that the Western world is still thoroughly modern and fully entrenched in Christendom. But occasionally I stumble across a blog or book, and think that there may be another world out there. So things didn't get off the ground this semester as we had hoped.

But if you'd ever like to get together and talk over coffee or a good brew or a smoke, Gabe and I would be more than happy.
  2. On Hold for Summer
The Key City Emergent Cohort is on hold for the summer. Tyler is out of town. Gabe is in town and has Monday nights free. If anyone wants to chat about the Emerging Church, post-modern culture, or Nietzche, please contact Gabe by leaving a comment on this blog.
  3. show me some Love

we've got a spot waiting for ya...
  4. no cohortage Mon. the 2nd of April
I'm guessing most will be watching the NCAA championship game, so in the vein of incarnationality, why attempt to compete with culture?
  5. conversation pt for Monday eve 3/19
let's kick around something succinct by LeRon Shults, an emerging theologian, which can be found here. hope to see you around 9:15.
