Phyllis Tickle will Be at Disciples' Fellowship for a conversation including discussion of her latest book, The Great Emergence.

Last minute change of plans here. We'll be meeting at emuna's space (http://www.emuna.us/) Tuesday (tomorrow) night, 8pm. Tim Mayhall and friends of Shades Valley Community Church are hosting/curating the space and we've been invited to check it out. Tim said he'll put on some coffee and maybe have some pie. We'll press Tim for a hard definition of what emuna is, and press him even harder for a traditional statement of faith. Looking forward to the conversation. If we get around to it, maybe we'll talk about the EV podcast on social justice. No need to rsvp--hope to see you there.

Welcome to the Reader's Forum
I googled “emerging church, Birmingham” this morning as part of a search I’m doing. My 15-yr-old son could really use a faith-based community of kids near his age. We have dropped out of the institutional church, but are people of faith. We currently have times of worship at home, but are not connected to any other form of community of faith.
any suggestions where we might tap into a group of teens who are exploring their faith and developing community?
Or, is your group one where a 15-year-old might find some friends?
